Music Monday – Pink Floyd – Another Brick in the Wall parts 1, 2, 3 (goodbye cruel world)

musicmonday

Music Monday is a meme that was created by Drew from The Tattooed Book Geek. You pick a song and/or video and share it on Monday.

The song and video I am sharing today is:

Pink Floyd – Another Brick in the Wall parts 1, 2, 3 (goodbye cruel world)

Pink Floyd is another band that my brother introduced me too when I was about seven or eight. My brother was someone who really influenced my taste in music and introduced me to so many great singers and bands. I still love Pink Floyd and can listen to their music for hours. (But the movie The Wall still terrifies me!).

Happy Music Monday!!

Another Brick in the Wall (Part 1) by Pink Floyd

Daddy’s flown across the ocean
Leaving just a memory
Snapshot in the family album
Daddy what else did you leave for me?
Daddy, what’d’ja leave behind for me?
All in all it was just a brick in the wall
All in all it was all just bricks in the wall

Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2) by Pink Floyd

We don’t need no education
We don’t need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers leave them kids alone
Hey! Teachers! Leave them kids alone
All in all it’s just another brick in the wall
All in all you’re just another brick in the wall

We don’t need no education
We don’t need no thought control
No dark sarcasm in the classroom
Teachers leave those kids alone
Hey! Teachers! Leave those kids alone
All in all you’re just another brick in the wall
All in all you’re just another brick in the wall

“Wrong, do it again!”
“If you don’t eat yer meat, you can’t have any pudding
How can you have any pudding if you don’t eat yer meat?”
“You! Yes, you behind the bike sheds, stand still laddy!”

Another Brick in the Wall (Part 3) by Pink Floyd

I don’t need no arms around me
And I don’t need no drugs to calm me
I have seen the writing on the wall
Don’t think I need anything at all

No, don’t think I’ll need anything at all

All in all it was all just bricks in the wall
All in all you were all just bricks in the wall

  1. Great share Dee! I didn’t have a brother to introduce me at an early age but young parents and even younger aunts… basically raised by teens so yeah, I was crying to go see KISS at like 5 when they were going without me.

      • LOL! I can completely relate because I could never remember the words to the lullabies so why not some Home Sweet Home or something I did know? 🙂
