First Line Fridays – The Mother-in-Law by Sally Hepworth

FLF Fall

Welcome to First Line Fridays, hosted by Hoarding Books!

This is my first time posting First Line Fridays.  It looks like fun so I thought I would give it a go.  The first line is from a book I’m really excited to read…

The novel is:

The Mother-in-Law by Sally Hepworth

(Click on the book cover if you would like to read the Goodreads description for this novel).

39863405

Expected publication: April 23rd, 2019
St. Martin’s Press

The first line:

“I am folding laundry at my dining room table when the police car pulls up.”

What an intriguing first line!

I would love to hear what you are currently reading. Feel free to join in or if you like you can also let me know what your first line is in the comments below.

Happy Friday!

Happy Reading!

  1. Happy Friday and Happy New Year!

My first lines come from Home For Christmas by Holly Chamberlin…..

It was the eleventh of December, a crisp winter day with not a cloud in the sky to threaten rain or snow. Nell King shivered as she came down the stairs from the second floor and into the living room.

Have a great weekend and happy reading!😊🎆💕
