Today I am sharing: One of these Mornings by Moby

I first heard this song on an episode of “Without a Trace” in 2002. I fell in love with the haunting tune. It’s still one of my favorites.

Have a great week everyone!

Music Note #1– Hustle Living

One of these mornings
Won’t be very long
You will look for me
And I’ll be gone

[Refrain]
One of these mornings
Won’t be very long
You will look for me
And I’ll be gone

[Refrain]
One of these mornings
Won’t be very long
You will look for me
And I’ll be gone

[Refrain]
One of these mornings
One of these mornings
Won’t be very long
Won’t be very long
You will look for me
You will look for me
And I’ll be gone

Today I am sharing: Good Mother by Jann Arden

I have a good mother and I’ve been missing our weekly hangouts and sleepovers.  I have a great stepfather too and I’m glad they are taking good care of each other. My daughter and I are very thankful for both of them.

I know many of you are missing your mothers, fathers, and other family members and friends. I hope we all get to see those we care about very soon. And if you’ve lost someone you care about, my thoughts are with you too.

Good Mother.

I’ve got money in my pocket
I like the color of my hair
I’ve got a friend who loves me
Got a house, I’ve got a car
I’ve got a good mother
And her voice is what keeps me here
Feet on ground
Heart in hand
Facing forward
Be yourself
I, I’ve never wanted anything
No I’ve, no I’ve, I’ve never wanted anything
So bad, so bad
Cardboard masks of all the people I’ve been
Thrown out with all the rusted, tangled
Dented, God damn miseries
You could say I’m hard to hold
But if you knew me, you’d know
I’ve got a good father
And his strength is what makes me cry
Feet on ground
Heart in hand
Facing forward
Be yourself
I, I’ve never wanted anything
No I’ve, no I’ve
I’ve never wanted anything so bad
So bad
I’ve got money in my pocket
I like the color of my hair
I’ve got a friend who loves me
Got a house, I’ve got a car
I’ve got a good mother
And her voice is what keeps me here
Feet on ground
Heart in hand
Facing forward
Be yourself
Heart in hand
Feet on ground
Facing forward
Be yourself
Just be yourself
Just be yourself
Feet on ground
Heart in hand
Feet on ground
Heart in hand

Today I am sharing:

I just love this song.  The video and lyrics are so much fun.

There are many days that I’m still preoccupied with 1985 😉

Have a great week everyone!

Bowling For Soup – 1985

1985
.
Woohoo
Woohoo
Debbie just hit the wall
She never had it all
One Prozac a day
Husbands a CPA
Her dreams went out the door
When she turned twenty four
Only been with one man
What happened to her plan?
She was gonna be an actress
She was gonna be a star
She was gonna shake her ass
On the hood of White Snake’s car
Her yellow SUV, is now the enemy
Looks at her average life
And nothing has been alright
Since Bruce Springsteen, Madonna
Way before Nirvana
There was U2 and Blondie
And music still on M-T-V
Her two kids in high school
They tell her that she’s uncool
‘Cause she’s still preoccupied
With 19, 19, 1985
Woohoo
(1985)
Woohoo
She’s seen all the classics
She knows every line
Breakfast Club, Pretty In Pink
Even Saint Elmo’s Fire
She rocked out to Wham!
Not a big Limp Bizkit fan
Thought she’d get a hand
On a member of Duran Duran
Where’s the mini-skirt made of snake skin
And who’s the other guy singing in Van Halen
When did reality become T.V.
What ever happened to sitcoms, game shows
(On the radio was)
Bruce Springsteen, Madonna
Way before Nirvana
There was U2 and Blondie
And music still on M-T-V
Her two kids in high school
They tell her that she’s uncool
‘Cause she’s still preoccupied
With 19, 19, 1985
Woohoo
She hates time make it stop
When did Motley Crue become classic rock?
And when did Ozzy become an actor?
Please make this
Stop! Stop! Stop!
And bring back
Springsteen, Madonna
Way before Nirvana
There was U2 and Blondie
And music still on M-T-V
Her two kids in high school
They tell her that she’s uncool
‘Cause she’s still preoccupied
1985
Bruce Springsteen, Madonna
Way before Nirvana
There was U2 and Blondie
And music still on M-T-V
Her two kids in high school
They tell her that she’s uncool
But she’s still preoccupied
With 19, 19, 1985
